Description

Education & Skills:

- Minimum of 5 years relevant cost control experience with at least 5 years in a senior role
- Completed degree/qualification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
- Sound knowledge & understanding of contract law and commercial / contracts management
- Must be fully conversant of understanding of Oil&Gas project cost engineering practices
- Knowledge of project execution and regulatory issues with sound understanding of engineering, technology, fabrication and construction
- Must have excellent knowledge of MS Office, specifically advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Must be a familiar with planning packages (E.g Prima Vera / MS Projects)
- Earned Value Management experience

Responsibilities:

- Leads in the development of the baseline schedule and supports Project Manager (PM) in Integrated Baseline Review (IBR)
- Evaluate discipline change notices, determining cost impact on all affected areas
- Actively monitors the productivity performance
- Provide detailed data analysis, devise and distribute plans, budgets and standards of performance for every area of activity
- Liaise with the Project and Contractor Teams to ensure consistent basis for all Estimating costs/plans
- Understand the project budget and scope and Monitor project development
- Identify risks to cost/schedule and Risk analysis for development options. Quickly identify trends, risks and prepare plans for corrective actions
- Develop the cost control strategies, negotiate and administer contracts assuring that the projects result in profits and added value for the company
- Provides reports on project established metrics including Earned Value (EV) analysis (i.e. schedule/cost variance), progress report
- Establish job-specific code of accounts, in accordance with the standard policies and procedures which forms the basis for detailed level cost control and reporting. Document the parameters and assumptions for cost estimates and plans
- Supports PM on maintaining project management documentation (Project Management Plan (PMP), Risk Management Plan (RMP), Scope of Works (SOW), WBS Dictionary, Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), etc.).
