Analytical chemistry diploma/degree or Quality related qualification.

At least 5 - 7 years relevant Laboratory supervisory experience, experience with quality systems and exposure to internal and external audits in a manufacturing environment are essential.

- TASK DESCRIPTION:Quality Testing, Laboratory Solutions, Equipment & Reporting
- Assume duly authorised responsibilities for assigned area.
- Plan, schedule, assign inspect, record and administrate laboratory operations.
- Preparation and standardisation of solutions.
- Commission and verification of solutions.
- Daily verifications on all identified test equipment.
- Compile and maintain the equipment database for calibrations.
- Maintain test procedures in laboratory manual and assist in formulating new procedures.
- Co-ordinate & advice on out of the ordinary testing procedures.
- Recommend and assist in new equipment and other capital expenses.
- Co-ordinate and assess staff training to improve competency and performance.
- Record, analyse and distribute statistical information.
- Report daily on progress in laboratory.

- Ensure that employees are trained sufficiently to meet job requirements and outcomes.
