Education requirements:

- Comm Degree
- Experience as Sales manager and managing and directing sales team of at least 5 years
- Knowledge of market research
- Technical sales skills
- Solid understanding of digital sales platform
- Experience in relevant software applications (Pastel and Excel, Honeybee advantageous)

Job skills and requirements:

- Leadership skills. Job is to motivate employees and work with them to reach targets. Resolve conflicts
- Analytical skills. Analyse sales figures and find weaknesses, cost saving opportunities and redundancies
- Customer Service. Face to face Communication with customers to resolve queries
- Communication skills. Need to be a good listener and speaker
- Willing to learn the products by attending technical training and informal Q&A's
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Own transport. Valid drivers license

Responsibilities:

- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing sales team
- Designing and implementing strategic sales plans to expand customer base and ensure strong presence in the market
- Setting objectives (KPI's), coaching and performance monitoring of sales team
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Present sales reports and realistic forecasts to management
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products (both own and competitor) and the competition status
- Investigates lost sales and customer accounts
- Ensure sales team have necessary resources to perform properly
- Liase with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
- Develop online sales platform
- Co-ordinate and monitor online sales activity
- Develop promotional ideas and material
- Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
