Job Purpose

To grow the uShaka Marine World Market segment by initiating and driving different marketing projects aimed at driving footfall while maximising on revenue for the park while at the same time Driving and managing sales of both Bulk tickets and Platinum passes for the park

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications:

- Grade 12
- Relevant Business Degree or Diploma
- Further Marketing Tertiary qualification an advantage

Experience:

- Five years' experience in the Marketing field
- Two to five years' experience in the Tourism or Hospitality related industry

Knowledge:

- Exposure to the sales & marketing world
- Computer knowledge
- Knowledge of Budgeting, principles etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:

- Initiate and Manage the Sale of Bulk tickets to current and new clients in accordance to bulk ticket sale regulations
- Set and monitor bulk sales targets each month and maximize on these
- Drive and Manage Platinum Pass membership sales by adopting either standard or innovative marketing tactics
- Set, manage and achieve sales targets on Platinum passes on a monthly basis
- Manage all administration associated with all Sales (Both Platinum & Bulk)
- Constantly formulate, sell and monitor packaged offerings the travel and hospitality sector such as travel agents, tour operators, holiday clubs, etc
- Target, grow and manage sales to the government sector by being innovative and aligning the park towards the government sector.
- Constantly demonstrate innovation by formulating and servicing different marketing projects that are aimed at contributing towards footfall
- Extend and monitor the Service voucher offering to employee groups in different sectors of both government and the private sector.
- Constantly formulate value added deals aimed at Benefits Clubs market
- Manage and Improve on deals to benefit clubs while showing innovation on all offering
- Always network and improve relations with key stakeholder in the tourism and hospitality sector in all regions of interest
- Play a supporting role to the marketing director by contributing towards revenue, networking sessions, etc.
