Welding Technician
Responsible to repair, maintenance and improvement to all tooling jigs, fixtures in line with production and customer requirements to support objective business
2. Ability to work under minimal supervision and know the scope of his work
3. Adjusting jigs and tools and grippers according to quality specifications
4. Maintain jigs and tools in proper work condition
5. Adjust production processes: Spot welding, screwing, clinching, gluing
6. Improve robot trajectories
7. Performing routine and planned machine maintenance on Time
8. Identifying and responding to safety hazards
9. Support breakdown maintenance operations
10. Compiling and maintaining records of machine history
11. Immediate diagnosis of the quality problems, and identify a solution to the problem
12. Knowledge in quality management ISO TS (contact number)
13. Assisting maintenance and production team with Asset Care
14. Knowledge and Maintenance of Press Tooling is (Advantageous)
NQF 4 (Grade 12) Qualification & Tool Maker Trade Test
2. Minimum of 3years plant maintenance experience
3. Jig and tooling precision adjustments working experience and knowledge
4. Robot teaching experience (KUKA)
5. Knowledge of measurement
6. Ability to perform various types of welds i.e. arc, gas and manual
7. Understanding of Health & Safety practices
8. Good problem solving skills
9. Self-motivated & hand-on hand hard working
10. Ability to read and understand technical drawings
11. Effective time management skills (plan and prioritize activities)
12. Knowledge of production process: Spot Welding, Press tools, tool room and jigs
13. Understanding of engineering drawings
14. Good communication skills
15. Basic computer skills
