Overview: Skills Foundation
Participants in this course will be introduced to facilitating a safe environment in their own area of work. Course material will enable participants to recognize and prevent potential hazards. Cleaning techniques and the correct use of chemicals are covered. Participants will be equipped to use, at a basic level, all equipment and utensils. National and local regulations and working practices are included in all practical competencies, including health and safety, food preparation and storage and care of materials.
Overview: Skills Proficiency
Participants in this course will be equipped to maintain safe working conditions and to adopt safe working procedures for themselves and others. The preparation of commodities and equipment for use and cooking food using basic techniques will be covered. National and local regulations and working principles are included in all practical competencies, including health and safety, food preparation, cooking methods and storage and care of materials.
